Q. How do two congregations, separated by distance, language, and culture, develop a partnership?
A. Through a two-way exchange of love, support, resources and prayer, as together we build connections and friendships, plant seeds to develop ministries and to meet needs, and open doors of opportunities.
In deed and word: Park’s financial support is added to the budget and the energy provided by the congregation of IPJA. They contribute their vision, their hands-on service, and their faithful dedication to spreading the gospel among the people of the favela and to assisting those same people in concrete and practical ways in improving their lives and breaking free of the cycle of poverty.
In return the people of IPJA provide folks in Beaver with an exciting, inspiring connection to vital ministry in another country. Through the hearts, minds, and hands of our brothers and sisters of IPJA, even those Park members unable to travel to Brazil can take an active part in mission work.
The Partnership is founded upon shared faith and fellowship. Both congregations support the other with prayer and the love of Christian fellowship. A key piece of this foundation is mission trips, from Beaver to Belo and Belo to Beaver, keeping the partnership personal, alive, and always growing.
Together we seek to serve the call of Jesus Christ as both congregations grow more and more in relationship with Him and each other.
