Translation Sites and Online Dictionaries

» YourDictionary.com

Translation sites allow you to enter text and translate from English to another language, or enter text in another language and translate it to English. You can also enter a web address and translate a whole webpage. Pretty cool to see what our home page looks like in Portuguese!!! A word of caution: When using online translation sites, remember to check your work, i.e., if you are writing your penpal, after changing your English note to him/her into Portuguese, translate the note back to English again to make sure you did not use a term that has more than one meaning, and your penpal will be able to understand your message as you intended!
