Jungwha Kim, Director of Music Ministries

Jungwha Kim was raised as a Presbyterian. Before coming to Park, she served at Baptist, Catholic, and Episcopal churches in the United States. She is truly excited to back “home” again in a Presbyterian church. She expects the knowledge she gained through her experiences at these liturgical congregations of different denominations to enrich her service at Park Church.

Jungwha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Yonsei University in Korea. In the United States, she studied organ with John Weaver in the Professional Studies Program at the Juilliard School in New York, and subsequently earned her Master’s degree in Music with David Higgs at the Eastman School of Music. Also at Eastman, she earned the Performer’s Certificate and obtained a Sacred Music Diploma under the direction of Peter DuBois.

Jungwha has observed that the people at Park Church are very warm and hospitable and that they are willing to work and prepare their very best to help Park’s music ministries. She says: “It is my joy and privilege to work with the volunteer musicians here at Park.”
