Qualifications:
- Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; display general knowledge of Reformed Christian worship traditions
- Demonstrate proficiency and experience with pipe organ and piano repertoire, preferably gained through formal musical training
- Display basic computer skills using MS Word and email
- Acquire the following three clearances:
Responsibilities:
- In consultation with Pastor, provide Sunday and special service music appropriate to the worship theme and the blended style of worship (traditional and contemporary elements)
- Consult and coordinate with choir director
- Attend Thursday evening choir rehearsals as accompanist
- Recruit and use the musical talents of congregation members
- Coordinate maintenance of music library with Music Librarian
- Provide music for weddings and funerals, if needed and available
- Organize timely maintenance of the organ and pianos
- Provide weekly service music information to church administrator
- Attend or provide reports for monthly Worship Commission meetings
